It is fun to explore our solar system
|

| ![]()
Our solar system lies on one of the outer arms of the Milky Way, thirty thousand light years from its galactic centre. Our sun is an average sized yellow star and is one of millions through out the Galaxy. It is the central point of the nine planets in our solar system holds countless smaller bodies such as asteroids comets and meteroids. The Asteroids Belt orbits the sun in the space between Mars and Jupiter. Most asteroids are pebble sized but a few are larger than cities. The solar system is so large that light travelling at 300,000 kilometers per second takes half a day to cross from one side to the other. |

Let's explore our sun...it's hooooott................

| The Sun contains 98% of the total solar system mass. Its interior could hold over 1.3 million Earths. To generate its energy the Sun consumes 40 billion years and has enough fuel for another 5 billion years. In the meantime why not check out the link below to get your own 20MB of free webspace?
